What happens during a screening?
You will meet with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®)/ Behaviour Analyst (BA) and/or a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to look at areas such as behaviour, speech, language, communication, pre-literacy/pre-academic skills, and adaptive skills.
During a screening, you may:
- Discuss your child and goals for their development
- Have a short screening tool used on your child to gauge their current skills
- Have observations and opinions shared with you by our experts
- Be given clear steps on what to do next
You can share these results with a family doctor if you choose.
