Internal integration between Maximum Potential and QuickBooks Online
What this is
The QuickBooks Automation Application is a private integration developed and operated by Maximum Potential Autism Services Inc. It connects QuickBooks Online (“QBO”) to internal workflows used by our finance and operations staff — reconciling payroll data, generating internal reports, and automating routine bookkeeping tasks that would otherwise be performed by hand.
The integration is not a product, not available to third parties, and is not listed in the Intuit App Store. It exists solely to support our internal operations and is accessed only by authorized staff and contractors of Maximum Potential
Who can use it
Use is limited to employees, contractors, and officers of Maximum Potential Autism Services Inc. who have been explicitly authorized and who hold valid administrator or assigned access to our QBO company file. The integration cannot be used to access any QBO company other than ours.
How it connects
Connection is established through QuickBooks Online’s standard OAuth 2.0 authorization flow. A Maximum Potential administrator grants the integration access from inside QuickBooks. Once authorized, the integration uses short-lived access tokens, refreshed automatically by Intuit, to perform its work.
Reconnection follows the same process if access is ever revoked or refresh tokens expire. There is no separate sign-up; the only credential the integration uses is the OAuth refresh token issued by Intuit at the time of administrator consent.
How to disconnect
A QuickBooks administrator can disconnect the integration at any time:
- Sign in to QuickBooks Online
- Open Apps from the left navigation
- Select My Apps (or “Apps connected to QuickBooks”)
- Find “QuickBooks Automation” in the list and choose Disconnect
Disconnection takes effect immediately. All access and refresh tokens are invalidated by Intuit at the point of disconnect. Because the integration does not warehouse QBO data, no separate data-deletion step is required.
