What happens during a screening?
You’ll meet with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®) / Behaviour Analyst (BA) and/or a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who looks at areas such as behaviour, speech, language, communication, pre-literacy and pre-academic skills, and adaptive skills.
During a screening, you may:
- Discuss your child and your goals for their development
- Have a short screening tool used to gauge your child’s current skills
- Hear observations and opinions shared by our experts
- Get clear steps on what to do next
You can share these results with your family doctor if you choose.
